Introduction:
The V Asia Pacific Crop Protection Conference (APCPC)– 2006 is
now changed the banner and it will be now “International
Crop-Science Conference & Exhibition” and widens the scope of
participating countries.
The International Crop-Science
Conference and Exhibition is co-organised with the support of
international organisation like China Council for the Promotion
of International Trade (CCPIT),China and Co-sponsored by India
–Thai Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok, Thailand, Chemical Business
Association, Thailand, & Thai Agro Business Association, (TABA),Bangkok,
Thailand, Audace Association, Belgium, The Latin American
Association of Agrochemical Association (ALINA), Indonesian
Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Indian Committee, China Crop
Protection Industry Association (CCPIA), China, Indian
Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad (aegis of CSIR,
Govt. of India) (IICT), India, and Indian Agricultural
Universities and prominent agri-Business journals, such as Farm
Chemicals International, USA, International Pest Control, UK and
Research Institutes.
PMFAI (Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India):
The Association has successfully organised four Asia Pacific
Crop Protection Conferences in 1997, 1999 , 2001 & 2003. Early
Conferences were co-sponsored by National as well as
International Organisations, Research Institutes, Universities
and Publishers world over. In the last two
Conferences, Scientists from world over, including from renowned
companies/International Research Institutes/Universities
presented papers viz. Dow Chemicals, Rohm and Haas, Bayer AG,
Calliope France, Rotam Australia, Exxon Chemicals, Borregaard
Sea Pte. Singapore etc. In the Conference of 2001 in
September, New Delhi, USDA (United States Department of
Agriculture) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)
officials conducted interactive session with the delegates
through Video Conference.
Chemexcil
(Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion
Council, India):
Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion
Council, popularly known as CHEMEXCIL was established in the
year 1963 with it's headquarters at Mumbai, with the objective
of promoting exports of Dyes and Dye Intermediates, Basic
Inorganic & Organic Chemicals, including Agrochemicals &
Pesticides, Cosmetics & toiletries, Agarbattis, Essential Oils,
Castor Oil, etc. from India to various countries abroad.
CHEMEXCIL acts as an interface between Industry and the
Government. It is also one point source of information for
sourcing any of the above products from
India. It assists importers in locating appropriate seller and
provide up-to-date statistical data/ market information.
In order to cater to the needs of member-exporters located at
various Regions, the CHEMEXCIL has its Regional Offices at
Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI),
India:
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI),
the co-organiser of the exhibition, has a unique infrastructure
both at the Domestic and International levels. With a
membership encompassing, directly and indirectly over 2,50,000
large, medium and small business units employing nearly 20
million people. FICCI actively partners with the
Government of India in the great task of nation building.
FICCI expert committees on different sectors of economy and its
affiliation with counterpart chambers in 67 countries ensures a
very significant research base and far reaching network.
FICCI also has formidable strengths in the area of organising
International Expositions. FICCI organises India Chem
series of exhibitions, which is the largest event of Chemicals,
Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Process Technologies, Plant
Machinery Control & Automation Systems in India.
CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade):
CCPIT Sub-council of Chemical Industry and CCOIC Chemical
Industry Chamber of Commerce is a sub-organization of CCPIT and
CCOIC. Established in July 1990, it practises membership system.
Under the regulation and principle of CCPIT, we are engaged in
promotion of international trade and economic & technology
cooperation in chemical industry between China and the rest of
the world, devoted to serving chemical industry and enterprises,
and endeavored to promote the continuous development of chemical
industry with our high quality service.

The International Crop-Science Conference &
Exhibition focuses on Modern Developments in Agrochemicals, GM
Crops & Biotechnology scenario in crop science. The idea is to
bring together Scientist, Technocrats, and Regulatory Officials
from different Countries and Government Officials on one platform and
listen & exchange their views in the Symposium. It also gives
opportunities for the Industry to participate and seek direction
on how to adapt to changing Scenario on crop inputs such as
eco-friendly agrochemicals, improved hybrid seeds, GM Seeds and
other aspects of Regulatory registration and harmonization
requirements. Further the ancillary chemical industry will have
the overview of agrochemical Industry.

Protection, Regulatory Registration Requirements from National
and International Institutions, Universities and Government
